Competitive Swim Teams

WSY Swim Team
The WSY Swim Team is open to all swimmers ages 5-18. The Swim Team is organized to train swimmers of all skill levels - novice to advanced. Learn proper competitive stroke techniques as well as increase physical endurance.

Session: September 2007-April 2008

Levels:
1 - Novice competitors learn all four competitive strokes, turns, and starts. Emphasis is on learning correct mechanics and having fun.

2 -Ages 10 and up. Intermediate and Advanced swimmers build on the techniques they have gained and build the aerobic base necessary for advancement. Swimmers MUST complete certain test sets for admission into level 3.
3 -Senior: ages 11 & up. Builds on stroke techniques and includes more precise skills to increase speed. Timed test required to participate in this level, as well as 2 BB times. Available at our Central Family YMCA.
