Youth and GovernmentYouth and Government is a statewide hands-on government experience for high school students. Throughout the fall and winter, teens write legislative bills, run for office, and develop their public speaking and debating skills. Students then travel to Raleigh where they join over 800 club members from across the state at a mock session of the North Carolina legislative assembly in the spring. Youth hand Government is supported by the WS/FC school system and teachers are more than welcome to assist in the learning process.
