Aquatics

Welcome to Kernersville Family YMCA Aquatics, where we build strong kids, strong families, strong communities. Each aquatic program is taught or overseen by YMCA certified instructors and lifeguards. Swim lessons, water fitness, swim team, lap swim and family swim are available. We feel family time is important and offer Family Swim everyday! Swim lessons are available to those six months through adults. We offer31 Water Fitness classes each week. The YMCA has 2 pools-one 4 lane pool that is for members and averages 86 degrees. The other pool, in collaboration with the Town of Kernersville, is for members and the community. It averages 83 degrees. Come by and check us out!!

Swim Lessons, Swim Team and Water Fitness Weather:

If school is cancelled for the day or school is let out early for the day due to inclement weather, then all Aquatic Programs (swim lessons, swim team and water fitness) are cancelled for the rest of the day. If time permits, classes in swim lessons will be made up. Please call or email Amelia at
